The environmental benefits of our products are plentiful. Firstly, our product is an upcycled product made from a raw product which is only 4% dry matter and waste. By the time we have processed the product, it has now been turned into fertilizer which is 95% dry matter and has an organic matter content of 70%,making it one of the best on the market.
As for nutrients, most of the nutrients in our product come from food waste which would otherwise be sent to landfills where they can never again be recovered. Instead, we repurpose these nutrients and return them to the soil to grow more food. The process would be comparable to being able to extract crude oil, burn it, and then return it to the ground to create more oil.
Finally, in comparison to purchasing commercial fertilizer from overseas, our product is much more environmentally friendly. Shipping 1000 tons of commercial fertilizer from a country like China produces nearly 100 tons of C02, that does not include transportation from the port to the end user’s field. Our product is acquired domestically as well as in the USA which significantly cuts down on emissions produced during transportation.
